The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Scheme is a scheme designed to secure and streamline international trade under the direction of the SAFE Framework of Standards of the World Customs Organization (WCO). An AEO Certificate (Authorised Economic Operator) is a company that participates in the international movement of goods and is authorised by or on behalf of the national administration to do so in accordance with World Customs Organization (WCO) or comparable supply chain security standards. It must also comply with the requirements of the National Customs Law.
